Kid’s Camp at the Alpaca Ranch - AGES 10-17 ONLY $75 per child for all 3 days - ONLY LEGAL PARENT/GUARDIAN MAY REGISTER MINORS FOR THIS EVENT.  ONLY 30 SPOTS AVAILABLE - REGISTER ONLINE   

Wed-Fri, October 14-16, 2020   Daily 8am - noon (Kids can be dropped off a little early for convenience of those parents who work, but arrangements should be made for pickup between noon and 1pm).   We will have bottled water & pre-packaged snacks available between sessions, but you may send snacks with your child, if desired.  

ADULTS WELCOME TO JOIN FELTING CLASS ON DAY 3 FOR $20 EACH.  

AND/OR PARENTS/OTHER FAMILY ALSO WELCOME TO JOIN ALPACA INTERACTION/PARTY ON DAY 3 - no extra charge.   

Great opportunity for kids to experience farm life, fiber arts, herd health, and more!  Also learning about work ethics, responsibility and discipline while on task.  Includes handling, feeding, management and interaction with the alpaca herd.  One-on-one Obstacle course training with alpacas.  Learning about herd health and maintenance, including lab studies and identifying common livestock parasites and how to treat them.  Fiber arts and craft workshop.  Also learning the eco-friendly nature of alpacas and the soil enhancement properties of their manure.  Adult volunteers encouraged to apply.  Sessions will all be in our climate controlled event room, stall area & barn (will adjust for weather conditions).     

SOCIAL DISTANCING PROTOCOL: We will be following local social distancing recommendations. Attendees may elect to follow guidelines as preferred, but we still recommend 6’ distancing when possible.  Outdoor activities will be adequately separated so that it will be easier to practice social distancing guidelines.  Summer temperatures make it difficult for some to wear masks, but it is still recommended protocol to wear face masks when the 6’ distancing is impossible. ADVERSE WEATHER INFO: In case of adverse weather, activities will be moved into our indoor event room.  Refunds not permitted for non-weather related conditions or your own decision not to attend. However, if you cannot attend due to circumstances beyond your control, tickets are transferrable to others - just provide us with the substitute info no later than 24 hrs prior to the event.  E-ticket (receipt or email) will be required at check-in.
